This project required us to pick an article and accompanying photograph series from the MECA&D Salt archive and then create three magazine spreads on the story.
Creating these spreads was a challenge for me as it was my first instance of ‘editorial’ work. I struggled to work with large blocks of text while also showcasing the tone of the story. My solution to working with this story was to use a black and white color palette and emphasize a blocked off jail like vibe to match the story.
