Book synopsis:
Eileen finds herself stuck in the fictional town, Eloraton, from her favorite book series. The author died before publishing the final book, meaning that Eileen must find out how the characters stories end before she can go home.
This project had us pick two books and then create two different covers for each. this being one of the books I picked.
For one cover, I used a typographic approach with a watercolor background that I painted. The second cover uses a clear acetate sheet with my own illustration on it. Directly on the book is the title and author, the clear sheet colored to create the effect of a stained glass window. Each icon in the illustration comes directly from an integral part of the stories in Eloraton.
